The Academie Lafayette Basketball program is an after school program that provides to our students an opportunity to learn basic basketball skills and rules, sportsmanship and fair play in a fun and safe environment. Academie Lafayette's Athletics program considers its activities to be a service to our students and the community and acknowledges that its success dependent upon the generous donation of time and expertise by volunteers from the community, especially from the teachers and the Parent Association. In 2007- 2008 Academie Lafayette basketball program included a Middle school team and a 4th and 5th grade boy's team. In 2008- 2009, the program added a 3rd -5th grade GIRLS team. Academie Lafayette Basketball teams participate in tournaments organized by the Great American Basketball League, the Cougar league and other Leagues. The day-to-day operation of the sports activities is handled through the Sports Committee, and the administration under the supervision of its Athletics director. Girls Basketball practice is Wednesday from 3:45 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Please pick up your child on time.
