Mr. Sockmack was born and raised in Cameroon. He graduated from the University of Yaounde in 1989. In 2002, he earned a Master of Arts in Teaching from Webster University. Mr. Sockmack comes to Academie Lafayette with more than fourteen years of teaching experience as a French Language Immersion Teacher. He taught in Cameroon for nine years and has been teaching in the U.S. since 1999. He received several awards from professional orgaizations such as the Cordell Hull Foundation for International Education(00-02) and Who'swho among America's Teachers (05-06). Mr. Sockamack is married and has three children.
