A Cutting-Edge Multilingual Education
Our K-5 students are totally immersed in French while excelling in English. Starting in 6th grade, students take a third language – either Mandarin or Spanish, in addition to French and English. In 11th and 12th grade, they are offered International Baccalaureate French, Mandarin and Spanish. They can also earn French college credits through a partnership with a local university.
A Tradition of Academic Excellence
AL has been consistently among the top 10 highest performing school districts in Missouri based on the annual MAP (Missouri Assessment Program) test results. Our students outperform their peers in Math, English, and Science.
A Global Learning Experience
AL offers an International Baccalaureate program, foreign travels to Europe, Asia, and Africa, multilingual competencies (English, French, Spanish, and Mandarin) with an international teaching staff. Our students are active in their local community while being mindful of global issues.

Award-Winning Athletics Programs
We believe in a comprehensive education by practicing Mens Sana in Corpore Sano (A sound mind in a sound body). The AL sports teams have been KC metro champions in soccer, volleyball, cross country, track and field, and the list goes on! Our Middle school girls’ team recently won the State of Missouri cross-country championship.
