Food Pantry

Académie Lafayette offers all current families a food pantry at the Armour campus.

Frequently Asked Questions

Harvesters deliveries occur the 2nd or 3rd Monday of the month from 8:30 am-11:30 am. All items will be unloaded by 12 noon that same day. 

Any family with 1 or more children who attend AL. Students are allowed to shop at the pantry provided that their guardian has given permission and provided us with their demographic information.

When you enter the pantry, scan the QR code to watch the video about how to shop. Please bring a grocery bag from home, if you can. Students must be accompanied by a staff member. Adult family members can shop on their own and all they need is to check in at the Armour front desk.

Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

Families can show up without an appointment during the hours of operation. Please ring the doorbell and request access to the food pantry.

There is no limit, however, we may ask a family to reduce the number of a certain item if it is available in limited quantities.

There is no limit on the number of trips, but again we reserve the right to put limits in place if there is limited availability of food in the pantry at a given time.

Yes! The pantry is for children. Students can go shopping, provided that they are supervised by an AL staff member or volunteer. If a family brings children when shopping, the children will need to remain in the pantry under the direct supervision of their parent/guardian.

Call 211 – United Way. They will have an updated list of food pantries in your area.

You can support the pantry by donating food or grocery gift cards.
