Girls’ Soccer
Girls’ soccer occurs in the spring and is open to all 6th–8th grade girls.
Participation
Girls’ soccer games are played on Saturdays. MSHSAA requires 14 practices on 14 separate days before a student is eligible to play. Players need to be at practice on time and ready to go.
This is a competitive team ruled by Académie Lafayette regulations and MSHSAA regulations. The middle school girls’ soccer team competes in the Kansas City Metro Conference League. If more than 23 players are registered, coaches and the athletic director may decide to hold tryouts.
Soccer season is here for our middle school girls! If your student is interested in playing this spring for AL, we will be holding tryouts on February 26-29, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the Armour campus football field.
All players need to bring a size 5 soccer ball, shin guards that cover the entire shin area with socks covering, cleats, and water. Please dress accordingly for the weather. If players wear shorts, please make sure that sliders are worn under the shorts.
We are excited about this year’s team as this will give all players from every level an opportunity to grow and build their skills while playing for AL!
