Our robotics team is part of a global community, FIRST, which stands for For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.

Participation

The robotics club is currently reorganizing and has not yet started. Information is sent our via the school newsletter about upcoming meetings and deadlines.

Students in robotics club will experience a “real-world” engineering experience as they work together as a team to design, build, and program industrial-size robots. Through FIRST Robotics, students will receive materials, mentoring, and the opportunity to compete with other robotics teams in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Students involved in the robotics club gain invaluable experience in STEM education and the opportunity to continue that education at the collegiate level. FIRST Robotics is an internationally recognized non-profit organization that was created to promote student learning and interest in science and technology fields.
